so i drove 2 hours each way to see Title Fight tonight, and the show was kinda lame. i can't really blame the band, but the sound in the place was terrible. i was standing right in front of the stage and could barely make out the vocals at all, it was just a lot of shrill guitar noise. i was super excited about this show, and it was such a let down, because you know i kinda like to hear the band. i wish i brought earplugs :(


and omg i knew they were like 18, but they are so ordinary looking, it's like "wait, that's the band?"


i also bought their 7" bringing my collection up to 3 LPs and 5 7"s, still no record player.

I don't know if this is a worthwhile collection or if I'm just wasting my money. I stopped buying band t-shirts over a year ago because I have so many t-shirts and the $15 band tees weren't getting worn any more than all my 50-cent thrift store tees, so buying them was clearly a waste. I don't have shirts for any of the bands I own vinyls of because I've only gotten into most of them in the past year, and I wanted to support them by buying something. I'm also really into album art, so it's cool having it full size. So far, so good. But here's the catch...i don't own a record player. So I've bought 6 records and I don't have anything to play them on. Now that seems like a waste.

omg so i am watching the Real World Brooklyn for the first time rn, and one of the people on the show is from my hometown! i don't know him though, he's 23 so he was probably a year above me in school. and he has a redic Boston accent though which is weird b/c Salem, NH is not Boston you fucker. anyways i got all excited and needed to share that with the world.

so i just my laptop back from being repaired and not and not even an hour later my ipod broke. i can't get anything but the sad ipod face and i think it might be done for good this time. i've had it for 3+ years, so this isn't really surprising, but i'm all "oh noes, i've got a week's worth of listening data that's not going to make it on to my last.fm!" god i'm pathetic.

CD/Radio/Turntable Combo - $50 (Johns Creek)
This new "old style" Philco has it all - It plays CD's, Records (45 and LP's) and has a radio. Bought as a Christmas present and used a couple of times. Just like new!



maybe this would balance out the fact that i've bought 5 records in the past few weeks and have nothing to play them on. but i'm out of town for another week and i don't think i care enough to make my roommate buy it for me.

i got this dresser off craigslist for $10 a while back. it's particleboard and laminate and kinda flimsy, but it has nice clean lines and that's all i need. i decoupaged it with magazine pieces because i was worried that newspaper would yellow.

so i just found out that thischangeseverything.org is gone. and as far as i know there are no other fansites for Circa Survive out there. now i kinda want to make one. checkered-vans.com is finally to a point where i'm proud of it, so maybe this will be my next project. we'll see...

so my boyfriend Colin went back to Texas on Friday and i miss him so much already. that and my social life without him pretty much revolves around my cat Ted. he's sleeping on my bed right now being adorable as always. i need human friends.

ps. shopping for cat food is like the most confusing thing ever. there are so many choices and i don't know what my cats want to eat :/

so i went to 2 different strip clubs last night. i was DD as i always am b/c i don't drink. driving around 6 loud drunk people was not fun, grinding all up on my friends just to freak them out totally was. first was the Claremont Lounge aka "where strippers go to die" aka the place i went for my 21st birthday b/c i wanted to do something crazy that didn't involve drinking. it was not particularly lulzy but i did get to see Blondie crush a beer can with her tits finally. and i got to see a semi-attractive young stripper (wtf was she doing there?) light matches in her nipples. bitch earned my $1.

then was Swinging Richard's, a gay male strip club. i am a totally fag hag, but i don't really have any desire to see overly built dudes dancing and occasionally flashing the p33n. it's like trying not to look at a car wreck. so yeah, pretty awkward. & i gave Colin like 3 separate lap dances b/c i'm a slut like that.
